TEDxBroadway

Because there is no Internet access for participants only to the press who probably got in for free. I am extremely disappointed in this programming, partially because I helped organize another TEDx event. It can't be live for us...

Notes as they come:

The time of the conference had to change to 11am. What this actually meant is that the doors of new world stages opened at 11am. So there was a good deal of us waiting in the rainy January weather.

The house lights are out. Being someone who works in lectures all the time, lack of light = fall asleep. Not to mention it makes those people who do have access to the network completely visible.

Theatres are inherently COLD. Add dark to that, a bit zzzz.

Wiener: I was disappointed to hear that the suggestion to save money, and to put it back into the production. I can't agree with that statement. Yes, you need to tighten belts to make a production happen, you need to budget accordingly, there sh old still be mney allotted to your production to market it. Maybe not slotting a budget to TEDxBroadway is part of the reason the above happened?

Also, through his speaking, I found out that 18 minutes was way too long. I literally think that the extra three minutes were too much.

Patricia Martin opened up having problems with tech, that was almost cliche, but she had a lot to offer in regards to the experience has to be LIVE and the aspects of it have to connect to the viewer. As she says she is a research nerd, and it proves, she was very informative, a little dry, but completely enthusiastic.

Coming from a tech background, there were some hang-ups... But probably weren't noticeable to those who aren't techies? I have no idea I can't see the tweet feeds soooo yeah. (dancing in the dark?????)

Confusion... Confusion..... About a video that is bout war horse. Lunch is late. But I think I am going to find anti-sandwich lunch since normally that's what the conference (turns out they didn't have enough lunch for us all anyways)

Fucking hilarious ad lib part to entertain while they tried to get the video going
