Great Book

To date the best book I have read is "inclusion: The New Competitive Business Advantage" by Shirley Engelmeirer

Why: Chapter 3 - The War for Talent... Gen Y as the Linchpin. It discusses how 'my' generation is going to be leading the future (well duh) but it discusses how the older populations / generations are aging our, my generation will not be able to replace them, be it by numbers or by knowledge. It asks the question of who is going to fill these positions who will also have experience, education, AND the talent to go forward.

Page 28 ultimate fave and I feel like this is a defining factor of my thesis:
1) Gen Y is more comfortable with technology
2) They have never seen loyalty to a corporate culture pay off for their parents.
3) They tend to have greater comfort and familiarity with different ethnic groups.
4) They have limited patience with the status quo, much like the Boomers who wanted to change the world.

Almost all the books / journals that I've read have mentioned or used data of "The 2020 Workplace" by Karie Willyerd, I guess that's next on the list.
